Based on the new edition of the Ford Shelby GT concept car of 2004 Ford Shelby GR-1 has developed. The study is an homage to the Shelby Daytona Coupe, 1964, and was at the Concours d'Elegance in Pebble Beach for the first time presented. Ford has produced a total of only two models.
